Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 January 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of atelierdufrancais.fr and your enrolment in any course offered by Atelier du Français SASU ("we", "us", "the School"). By booking a trial lesson, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using this website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Atelier du Français SASU is a private language school registered in France, RCS Paris 852 349 761, SIRET 852 349 761 00019, registered training provider number 11 75 98765 75, with its registered office at 24 Rue des Rosiers, 75004 Paris, France.

2. Enrolment and contract formation

A booking request submitted through this site is an offer to enrol, not a confirmed place. Your enrolment is confirmed only once we send a written confirmation email and, where applicable, receive payment or a signed training agreement. Group course places are allocated in the order deposits are received.

3. Fees and payment

4. Course changes and cancellations by the School

We may reschedule or combine group classes if minimum enrolment (4 students) is not reached, or substitute a teacher due to illness or leave, without this constituting a breach of contract. If we cancel a course outright, you will receive a full refund of fees paid for that course or, if you prefer, a credit toward another course.

5. Your right to cancel

Your right to withdraw from a course and receive a refund is set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Student conduct

Students are expected to attend punctually, treat teachers and classmates with respect, and refrain from disruptive, discriminatory or harassing behaviour. We may suspend or terminate enrolment, without refund of the current billing period, in cases of serious or repeated misconduct.

7. Attendance and materials

Course materials are provided for personal educational use only and may not be reproduced, resold, or redistributed. Missed group classes cannot generally be made up, but recordings or summary notes are shared with enrolled students where available. Missed private lessons may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge; later cancellations forfeit the session.

8. Intellectual property

All course materials, workbooks, recordings and website content remain the intellectual property of Atelier du Français SASU or its licensors. Enrolment grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for the duration of your studies.

9. Limitation of liability

We provide our courses with reasonable skill and care but do not guarantee any specific exam result or fluency outcome, as language acquisition depends on individual effort and practice outside the classroom. To the extent permitted by French law, our liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the course giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

10. Data protection

Our use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you benefit from any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence. Disputes will first be addressed through our customer service at [email protected]; unresolved consumer disputes may be referred to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr or to the courts of Paris, France, without prejudice to any mandatory right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your enrolment. Material changes affecting current students will be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect.
